We will be having an off-campus ride at Flatwoods Park on Saturday, April 20th at 8:30 am (Ride out at 8:45 am) meeting in front of the Publix on campus. You can meet up with us at the park at 9:30 am but the group will be riding there from the USF Publix. We are riding to the Bruce B. Downs entrance, which is at 18205 Bruce B Downs Blvd Tampa, FL 33647. We will be doing one loop of Flatwoods which in total is about 11 miles and then if you're riding to Flatwoods, in total the ride will be about 22 miles. The pace is between 10-12 mph. Celebrate Earth Day and join the American Water Resources Association as we assist Keep Pinellas Beautiful in a cleanup along Gandy Beach.. . . . WHERE TO MEET: We will meet at South Gandy Beach, east of The Getaway. Look for the direction signs, table, and tent!. . . . GPS Coordinates: 27.873630, -82.602535. . . . TIME: Cleanup will begin at 9:00 AM. Please arrive a few minutes early to get signed in.. . . . This event will take place at the Wholesome Church Ministries health fair in Wimauma, Florida! Nursing students will be providing health education and blood pressure screenings for the community. All other students are also welcomed to come as we will be assisting with other activities as directed by the event coordinator. Students who sign up will receive volunteer hours and moss points if applicable for their service! . . . . Nursing students: Please wear your USF CON uniforms and bring your stethoscopes!. . . . Please arrive at least fifteen minutes before 9:00 am. Transportation will not be provided. The game starts at 10:00am. Directions: EAST of I-75 on state road 64. If you're coming from the south (Port Charlotte, Venice), use exit 220A. If you're coming from the north (Tampa, St. Pete) use exit 220. The entry gate is only a few hundred yards east of I-75 on the south side of the road.. . . . We only have 20 spots available for this event so make sure to register as soon as you can.
