- Feb 2112:00 PMTopics in Dermatology: Pediatric DermatologyIn our Topics in Dermatology series, we'll be covering different fields within dermatology, including Mohs surgery, complex medical dermatology, pediatric dermatology, dermatopathology, and cosmetic dermatology. In each of these sessions, our speakers will do an overview of what that subspecialty is, what a typical day in that field looks like, and the different paths to pursuing that field.. . . . In this session, we'll be hearing from our amazing DIG faculty advisor and board-certified pediatric dermatologist, Sharon Albers, MD, FAAD! Dr. Albers will give an overview of the subspecialty, share what a typical day looks like, and discuss the different paths to pursuing that field. . . . . Questions are welcome and food will be provided! We look forward to seeing you there!. . . . . . About the Speaker: . . . . Dr. Albers is a board-certified pediatric dermatologist, Professor of Dermatology, Director of Pediatric Dermatology, Associate Program Director, and Vice Chair of Education, Mentorship and Alumni Relations in the Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery at the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine. Her areas of clinical focus include pigmented lesions, eczema, vascular birthmarks, and acne. Prior to USF Health, Dr. Albers served as an Associate Professor of Dermatology at Vanderbilt University. She is a graduate of USF Health Morsani College of Medicine. She did her internship at Duke University, followed by a dermatology residency at USF Health Morsani College of Medicine.
