- Nov 227:00 PMMock Gaye HoludWe are excited to host "Mock Gaye Holud," our largest event of the semester, which recreates one of the most cherished pre-wedding ceremonies in Bangladeshi culture. "Gaye Holud" is traditionally a festive gathering where family and friends apply turmeric, or "holud," to the bride and groom, signifying blessings and well-wishes. This celebration features vibrant yellow decor, symbolic of joy and new beginnings, along with lively musical and dance performances.. . . . Our Mock Gaye Holud will allow participants to experience this cultural festivity in an authentic setting. We’ll select a couple to act as the "bride and groom" for the evening, and all attendees will be invited to participate in traditional ceremonies, enjoy delicious Bangladeshi snacks and dinner, and immerse themselves in the rich wedding ambiance. This event is designed to bring together students from various backgrounds for a fun, cultural experience. --- Event Details: https://bullsconnect.usf.edu/rsvp?id=1971225
