We are joining Roman Austin's campaign "Not Just a Cyclist" ride that is welcome to all skill levels at distances of 5, 25, and 50 miles. The 5-mile ride will be at 10-12 mph pace, 25 miles at 16-18 mph, and 50 miles at 20-25mph. The campaign focuses on advocating for cyclists’ rights and safety. The event will be on Sunday, October 27th at 8am, starting from Green Bench Brewing Co., with free parking at Tropicana Field. Following the ride will be free drinks, food, and a bike-building contest. Teams will compete to build youth bikes, which will be donated to the Boys and Girls Club of the Suncoast. VISTA Gardens is a 3.31 acre Hillsborough Country Garden Park that looks to preserve the native foliage and butterfly population.. . . . At this garden, volunteers would be helping out with tasks that needs to be done (planting, some weeding, composting, etc). Please be sure to bring some sunscreen and sun protection (caps/hats) in addition to water and snacks. Also be sure to wear closed toed shoes that you do not mind getting a bit dirty.. . . .
