As a non-profit, educational farm, Sweetwater relies on the help of individual and group volunteers to help us with the day to day operations of our community farm. Volunteers of all ages and backgrounds have the opportunity to learn and gain hands-on organic farming experience. Interested in being outdoors and getting your hands a bit dirty in the process? Then heres a event for you! VISTA Gardens is a 3.31 acre Hillsborough Country Garden Park that looks to preserve the native foliage and butterfly population.. . . . At this garden, volunteers would be helping out with tasks that needs to be done (planting, some weeding, composting, etc). Please be sure to bring some sunscreen and sun protection (caps/hats) in addition to water and snacks. Also be sure to wear closed toed shoes that you do not mind getting a bit dirty.. . . .
