- DescriptionPlease join Associate Dean for Admissions and Lecturer Jay Shively for an in-depth discussion of personal statements in the law school admission process. We will discuss the purpose statements serve for admission committees and the various ways statements are used in the admission process to identify qualified and exceptional candidates. . . . . We will talk about how to get started from scratch and strategies for coming up with a memorable and effective personal statement to enhance your candidacy to law school and convey vital compelling information about yourself in the ways schools are prepared to receive that information. Additionally, we will review an example and identify strengths and weaknesses that will help you do a similar analysis with your own statements.
