Mobile pantries bring nutritious food to communities in need, especially food deserts where access to quality, affordable groceries is limited. Volunteers will help pack boxes of assorted groceries and distribute them to guests in a drive-thru style format. This is an outdoor, off-site activity, so please dress appropriately: all volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes (sneakers preferred) and shirts with sleeves—no tank tops. Jeans or shorts of appropriate length are recommended. Volunteers wearing open-toe shoes will not be allowed to participate. The minimum age to volunteer is 13 with an adult or 16 to volunteer independently. The event takes place at Lockhart Elementary Magnet School, 3888 N 19th St, Tampa, FL 33610.
