- Jul 1812:00 AMAfter Structure and Beyond SupportAfter Structure and Beyond Support are two related and concurrent exhibitions that complicate our accepted notions of support systems as both the formal structures of artworks and necessary aspects of social, cultural, and political life. After Structure pairs a selection of works from artists Richard Tuttle and Mike Cloud. Beyond Support is drawn entirely from the USF Collection and features work by Carlos Amorales, El Anatsui, Abel Barroso, John Cage, Carlos Garaicoa, Barbad Golshiri, Nancy Graves, Robert Huff, Sol LeWitt, Lucy Orta, Tavares Strachan, Richard Tuttle, Siebreen Versteeg, and Claude Viallat.After Structure is curated by Mark Fredricks, and Beyond Support is curated by Christian Viveros-Fauné and Mark Fredricks. The exhibitions are organized by USF Contemporary Art Museum, Tampa, and supported in part by the USF College of Design, Art & Performance, the Lee and Victor Leavengood Endowment, the Kathleen Binnicker Swann Endowment, and The Stanton Storer Embrace the Arts Foundation. Bring your gear and snacks and play some volleyball or get some sun to start off the weekend!We will providing transportation from the Sarasota-Manatee campus and will be returning at the time listed.
