Come experience one of nature's most unique and breathtaking phenomenon right here in Florida! Only a handful of locations in the world experience "bioluminescence" where movement in the water creates a blue-green glowing effect that mesmerizes you. This trip cannot be fully described, but needs to be experienced! The New Student Connections Team is excited to welcome First Year students to campus and provide them with additional opportunities before the start of the Summer B Semester to connect with others, connect with campus, and prepare themselves academically for the semester ahead.The NSC team will be hosting three different programs throughout the day, and we recommend you stop by any one of them to connect, have fun, and learn about how the university can help you succeed!Below are the events, time, and location for each:First Year Festival 10am-12pm @ Osprey Lobby The First Year Festival will allow students to engage with various on-campus partners and resources while getting to know their classmates through a variety of activities.Water Olympics 1pm-3pm @ Soccer Field The Water Olympics competition will allow students to bond with classmates while participating in a variety of team activities. Each person on the winning team will be awarded an item from the bookstore. The winner will be announced at the evening concert. Please wear close-toed shoes you can get wet!Edge Concert Picnic 5pm-7pm @ Edge Patio & Deck The concert picnic will give students the chance to reconnect with their teammates from the morning activities and enjoy the waterfront.
