An immersive and reflective program focused on partnering students with individuals with autism to learn more about how they experience the world. This Camp aims to raise awareness to the need for more understanding for people with mental exceptionalities and making sure they can get the same experience in a camp as anyone else. This year, we will focus on autism and other mental illnesses at Camp Royall in Moncure, NC.Travel dates are set for March 14-March 21st, 2026. Additional time should be set aside for team meetings, which will be recurring and required for those chosen to participate.The total cost for this trip will be $300 per student for the entire week. Saturday, October 25th we have 12 seats available for an offshore trip. We will be fishing between 10 and 20 miles offshore, targeting grouper, snapper, hogs, and any other game fish we find out there. The trip will be split into two, 4 hour sections. 8:00am to 12:00pm and 1:00pm to 5:00pm. 6 people in the morning, 6 in the afternoon. This mock trial tournament at the George Edgecomb Courthouse is a competition where students act as attorneys and witnesses in a simulated courtroom trial! Judges score teams based on their legal knowledge, argumentation, presentation, and adherence to courtroom procedure. As you may know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Every year, the American Cancer Society hosts a noncompetitive walk to raise breast cancer awareness called Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. Our organization participates in this walk every year and we are inviting you to participate in it and walk with us! The event also consists of food trucks, music, and free swag! La Grande Illusion is a major exhibition of works by internationally acclaimed artist, Brian Maguire. The exhibition spans two decades of work that spotlights the artist’s lifelong quest to draw attention to global injustices, war, and human rights. One of Ireland's leading cultural figures, Maguire has turned the practice and tradition of painting into acts of visual testimony. Maguire’s paintings are global in scope and are derived from projects undertaken between 2007 and 2024 in Mexico, the Mediterranean, Syria, Sudan, the United States, and the Amazon. Maguire's artworks are painted from direct experience and involve the artist spending extensive time on the ground with the communities that welcome him.
